The Snow Leopard Trek offers a unique wildlife experience as you trek through Hemis National Park, a sanctuary for snow leopards and other high-altitude wildlife. This trek provides opportunities to spot elusive animals like the snow leopard, blue sheep, and marmots, all while experiencing the harsh yet beautiful environment of Ladakh’s winter wilderness.

Day 1 :

Arrival in Leh (3,500m)

Altitude: 3,500 meters

Arrive in Leh, rest, and acclimatize to the altitude. You can explore Leh's local market and town.

Overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 2 :

Leh – Sightseeing (3,500m)

Visit Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery, and Hemis Monastery — key cultural sites of Ladakh. Return to Leh.
Overnight: Guesthouse in Leh

Day 3 :

Leh – Zingchen (3,700m)

Drive to Zingchen, a remote area near Hemis National Park, and begin the trek through the national park.

Overnight in camp.

Day 4 :

Zingchen – Rumbak (4,200m)

Continue trekking through the rugged terrain, keeping an eye out for wildlife such as marmots and blue sheep.

Overnight in camp.

Day 5 :

Rumbak – Ganda La (4,500m)

Trek towards the Ganda La Pass. The trek offers excellent opportunities for wildlife sightings, including the elusive snow leopard.

Overnight in camp.

Day 6 :

Ganda La – Sumdo (4,000m)

Continue trekking towards Sumdo. This day offers more wildlife spotting opportunities as you trek through the high-altitude terrain.

Overnight in camp.

Day 7 :

Sumdo – Leh (3,500m)

Trek back to Leh, exploring the beauty of the valleys and villages on the way.

Overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 08 :

Buffer Day in Leh

This is a buffer day for extra rest or exploring the local markets and surroundings in Leh.

Overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 09 :

Departure from Leh

End of the trek. Departure from Leh.
