Day 1 :

Arrival in Leh – Acclimatization (3,500m)

Arrival at Leh airport. Transfer to guesthouse. Full day rest to acclimatize. In the evening, explore the local market and soak in Ladakhi culture.
Overnight: Guesthouse in Leh

Day 2 :

Leh – Sightseeing (3,500m)

Visit Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery, and Hemis Monastery — key cultural sites of Ladakh. Return to Leh.
Overnight: Guesthouse in Leh

Day 3 :

Leh – Chilling (3,200m) – Skiu (3,400m)

Drive to Chilling (about 2 hrs), then cross the Zanskar River by pulley bridge and begin the trek to Skiu through narrow gorges and riverside paths (approx. 3–4 hrs).
Overnight: Camp at Skiu

Day 4 :

Skiu – Markha (3,700m)

Trek through willow-lined paths, past small chortens and mani walls. Cross the river multiple times before reaching Markha, the largest village in the valley (6–7 hrs).
Overnight: Camp at Markha

Day 5 :

Markha – Hankar (4,000m)

Trek through Umlung village and visit Umlung Monastery. Continue to Hankar, set beneath spectacular rock formations (4–5 hrs).
Overnight: Camp at Hankar

Day 6 :

Hankar – Nimaling (4,700m)

Ascend gradually to the high-altitude pastureland of Nimaling, a vast grazing area used by nomadic shepherds. Stunning views of Kang Yatse (6,400m) throughout the day (5–6 hrs).
Overnight: Camp at Nimaling

Day 7 :

Nimaling – Kongmaru La Pass (5,200m) – Chokdo (3,900m)

The most challenging and rewarding day. Steep ascent to Kongmaru La Pass for breathtaking views of Ladakh and Zanskar ranges. Descend sharply into a dramatic gorge and reach Chokdo village (7–8 hrs).
Overnight: Camp at Chokdo

Day 08 :

Chokdo – Shang Sumdo – Leh (3,500m)

Easy descent to Shang Sumdo (2 hrs). Drive back to Leh (2 hrs). Evening at leisure.
Overnight: Guesthouse in Leh

Day 09 :

Departure from Leh

Transfer to the airport for departure.
